Look at this Cool Bus!
Tillamook County Transportation District
A Night of the Museums- Open House
May 10th, 2013 5:00pm
The Transportation District unveiled their new Tillamook County Museum bus. The graphics on the bus were donated by an anonymous individual. The open house was attended by many who came to see the bus in all its glory (inside and out). The process of getting the graphics onto the bus was described by the bus marketing director. Everyone was snapping photos!

Call for Volunteers
Do you have an extra hour or two a week? Or month? Could we use your help? Well SURE!!
We need volunteers who enjoy gardening to help maintain our planted areas in the front of the museum, someone with a blower to clear off the parking lot once a month or when called (we do have that pesky wind here), and people who enjoy the museum/gallery atmosphere and interacting with the public who would enjoy being the welcoming face behind the lobby desk at the Museum, during business hours, for an hour or two a week.
The museum is closed for the winter months of December, January, and February, but help from a few willing hands would be so welcome for the months we are open. Interested?

2014 Call for artists on the Northern Oregon Coast
Do you paint, draw, sculpt or make any kind of visually stimulating art? Would you be interested in having a show at the Museum next year? We're currently seeking local artists (second home on the Oregon Coast or past resident qualifies) to embellish the walls of our community room and provide exposure to our local talent in a quiet gallery atmosphere each month, and would love to see your work.

United Paws Adoption Event
United Paws Adoptathon
May 4th,
2013
12:00 – 3:00pm
The day was
warm and sunny, but the cats were cool as they put on their cutest poses trying
to find a loving family to adopt them. United Paws arrived with 12 cats all
looking for a home where they can just be part of the family. Four of them
found a forever home, eight will try again next time. The event was well
attended by 17 people looking to just make a little difference in the day of a
homeless feline. The donated
gift basket was also a big hit. It brought in $50 in
proceeds to PAWS!
