Also on October 11th from 10 AM to 3 PM...
United Paws is bringing some homeless kitties (with very high hopes) to our Community Room just before the Beer Tasting. We don't know exactly which cats will be coming, but peek at their Petfinder page here to see who might show up: Potential Lovebugs
Do you need the languid beauty and grace of a cat in your home?
How about some vocalizing around dinnertime?
Need a sweet someone to need you?
Well here's your chance silly!!

Good Jobs are Plentiful in the Maritime Industry!
A last minute invitation was kindly accepted, and brought Dennis Murphy to the museum on Sunday, August 31 to spread the word about "Exploring Possible Careers in the Maritime Industry." This was a very interesting discussion that is particularly relevant to 16 to 26 year olds, who may not have embarked on any particular career path. Dennis said "If someone is willing to work hard and follow instructions" there are lots of varied and well paying jobs available in the industry.

Lindstedt/LaPointe Artist's Reception June 7th
Photos were a challenge trying to circumvent the glare on the glass required for framing watercolors, and don't do the artwork justice. This show will be at the Museum through June.
Do yourself a favor and make it a point to stop in and lose yourself in a beautiful show by 4 very talented artists! There is no admission charge to view our monthly shows, and it's a rare opportunity to see the fine work by done by local artists.
Doreen Lindstedt on the left and Cecile LaPointe on the right are interrupted for a quick photo |
Steve Lindstedt takes a final glance at the arrangements
I know, I know....let's see the ART! |
A quiet beauty from the hand of Doreen Lindstedt.
Another strange angle to capture Cecile LaPointe's lovely landscape with minimal glare.
Steve Lindstedt's handsome metal fish sculptures.....
Susan Lindstedt's watercolors capture familiar members of our flora and fauna.
There is SO much more to see in this show during June.
Make it a point to stop in and excite your senses!Enjoyment Guaranteeduarantee.
