Good News!
The September artists have agreed to let their work hang through October. That means you can procrastinate a little (but just a little - some of this stuff is going home with people who live out of town and they - gasp - want to take it with them!) Two of Susan Lindstedt's lovely botanical watercolors will join the exhibit too. (Talented family wouldn't you say?)
Lindstedt/Simmons Reception
The September artist's reception enjoyed a very nice turnout, and conversation, smiles and sales were the result! See those kids? Maybe they'll grow up and want to have art shows of their own. Ya just never know!
"Uh-oh", he's thinking, "She's gonna buy something. Wish there was some vodka in this punch.....".
Steve Lindstedt's steel sculptures are getting more and more complex......
The artist oversees the crowd with quiet glee....
Not just fish my friends, there are sea creatures and Viking ships on display!
Teresa Simmons brought watercolors, quilted wall hangings, and crayon drawings! You really should get in here and see this stuff!
The artist, Teresa Simmons. This was her first exhibit at the Museum.
She liked it!
Doreen Lindstedt brought watercolor landscapes...
A bird quilt.... to warm your eyeballs.
And her smiling self!

Collin's Oils and Mccallum's Sculptures Bring Pizzazz to our Community Room
This is just a teaser folks. Do yourself a favor and stop in to see this show through the end of July. Admission to our artist's showing is free.
There's abundant talent here on the North Coast, and GMM wants to share it with you!
Silver and gold and gorgeous! This is just a glimpse of the work Tom Mccallum does. There are lighted sculptures, and glittering mosaics, and whimsical wall hangings.
Laura's 'sense of place' comes through loud and clear in her work. This photographer was captivated by a couple of moss-laden tree paintings. She's also chosen frames which set off the painting to perfection. You'll just have to stop in and see for yourself. There's much, much more to savor....

Brian and Kate Johnstone and Patsy Chapin Show Their Stuff!
And delightful stuff it is! You really should do yourself a favor and stop by to see this show. The photos - really don't do either artist justice. Brian and Kate's work is both visual and tactile, and begs to be investigated further.
Johnstone Wall Hanging....much, much nicer in person!
Patsy Chapin's Ducklings - which really should be picked up and
cuddled!

In the second half of May....
We host another adoptathon for United Paws. It's not a cat show, it's a love-in! Come in, fall in love with your feline soul mate, take home for purrs, entertainment, and lap warming!
Then lastly, but not leastly, our White Elephant Sale, where you'll find items to spark your curiosity, fill a need (or a want), and help us to fund replacement of our creaky, leaky front doors. (If your front door was opened 400-1000 times a month, it would wear out too!)
May is a Busy Month for GMM
First, we start our monthly Artist showings with a couple of fine local artisan crafters..........Gloria Guyer's quilts, and John Goertzen's fine woodcrafting pieces.
Then we wish Capt. Robert Gray a Happy Birthday! (We SO wish you were here Bob)
