A last minute invitation was kindly accepted, and brought Dennis Murphy to the museum on Sunday, August 31 to spread the word about "Exploring Possible Careers in the Maritime Industry." This was a very interesting discussion that is particularly relevant to 16 to 26 year olds, who may not have embarked on any particular career path. Dennis said "If someone is willing to work hard and follow instructions" there are lots of varied and well paying jobs available in the industry.
The Garibaldi Museum is chartered to collect information surrounding the maritime heritage of the Pacific Northwest, Captain Robert Gray and his historical vessels, the 'Lady Washington' and the 'Columbia Rediviva'
